Design
How an idea becomes a Saintarini piece.
Our design philosophy
Saintarini design is meaning-led and deliberately restrained. The house draws on the discipline of chess — strategy, patience and the authority of the King — as a quiet influence on its forms rather than a costume. A piece should be recognisable as Saintarini without explanation, and understood without decoration.
We design in a modern European register: clean geometry, considered proportion and strong, simple lines. Ornament is never added for its own sake. If an element does not carry meaning, it does not stay.
The creative process
Every design begins with an idea about identity — a value the wearer wants to carry. From there the process moves in stages:
- Idea — the concept, the meaning and who the piece is for.
- Design — the concept is developed into a considered design, including dimensions, proportions and details.
- Refine — materials, stones, finishes and sizing are settled in discussion with the client.
Only when a design has been approved does it move into making. The house designs to be kept: pieces are conceived as permanent parts of a wardrobe and a story, not as seasonal statements.
